Hello out there! Today I wanted to share with you how I find it so crazy the amount of information I have been learning since becoming a Younique Presenter. Having a passion in these products has opened my eyes to so much more then just learning about how to apply cosmetics. It's also about our body and what we do to it to keep it healthy. So today I wanted to focus on our skin, how to keep it fresh, clean, hydrated and beautiful. "Exfoliating, whats that?" Yeah that's what I said.
Here are 8 tips in keeping your skin amazing!
Keep your body hydrated: This may sound like a no-brainer, but it bears repeating. You have to have water in your body in order for it to nourish your skin's needs. Be sure to drink at least 64oz of water everyday to make sure all your body's organs have the moisture they need to operate properly. Not only will your hydrated skin thank you, your body will thank you.
*You can Google search to find a hydrating calculator for the amount of water you require per your body weight.
Cleanse: Cleansing or scrubbing your skin too much can actually damage your skin. Over-cleansing can strip your skin's natural oils and throw off its natural balance of moisture. Instead of using harsh cleansers, use a natural based product such as Younique's Awake Facial Cleanser. Awake contains a range of beneficial ingredients that awaken and cleanse the skin. Its thick texture transforms into an effective lather to dissolve oil and makeup, rinsing away pore-clogging surface debris, impurities, and excess oil. It refines the skin texture, brightens skin clarity, and minimizes the look of pores over time.
Moisturize daily: When you care for your skin, it's not just your face that needs the help in the hydration department. Use Younique's Brilliant Daily Moisturizing Gel all over the body. Brilliant Moisturizing Gel is a rich and restorative moisturizer that is formulated to leave the skin hydrated, energized, and healthy as it nourishes the skin with powerful ingredients. Brilliant leaves your skin feeling revitalized, toned, and radiant.
DO Exfoliate, Just Not to Much:
A regular once-a-week scrub is necessary to remove dead skin cells from your face and body, in order to let your moisturizers do their job. Add brown sugar to your Awake Cleanser for your exfoliating regiment.
Eat Well: A healthy, balanced diet is the best way to keep you and your skin healthy.
Take a Sauna: Heat bathing is one of the oldest beauty and/or health strategies in terms of cleansing one's skin. When the body begins to produce sweat via deep sweating, the skin is then cleansed and dead skin cells are replaced - keeping your skin in good working condition. Sweating rinses bacteria out of the epidermal layer and sweat ducts. Cleansing of the pores has been shown to improve the capillary circulation, while giving the skin a softer-looking quality.
Kick the bad Habits: You may have a habit or two that is actually hurting your skin and reducing its hydration levels. Smoking, drinking alcohol excessively, and indulging in too much caffeine will suck out all that moisture from your skin. Over time, you'll see the wrinkly, saggy effects these habits cause. Cut these factors out of your life completely, or limit these habits to a minimum to reduce the effects.
Limit Exposure: Exposing your skin to harmful environmental factors can harm your skin's moisture levels including extreme sunlight, and bitter cold. As the seasons change, be sure to protect your skin from these and you won't risk losing skin's hydrators to the environment!
