Many of us feel as if we are adrift in the world. I know I am sometimes! We work hard but feel as if we don’t really get anywhere. I think we feel this way because we have spent so much time thinking about what we want out of life and haven’t formally set any goals to achieve. Distractions don’t help either, and many of us suffer from an overwhelming amount of them. I also think that when we try and do to much at once and or we are not happy with ourselves we find no motivation in accomplishing or finish a task. Is this you? Hey, I’ve been there more often times than none so I know how you’re feeling. So let's talk about personal life long goals – and maybe this will help you to get started working on your goals too. Why set goals? By setting goals and knowing precisely what we want to achieve, we will then know where we have to concentrate our efforts. Wiki says: Goals are a form of motivation that sets the standard for self-satisfaction with performance. Achieving the goal one has set for oneself is a measure of success, and being able to meet job challenges is a way one measures success in the workplace. So here it goes, I'm sharing my personal goals with you. Maybe they are yours too?
We all know it's no secret that setting goals and putting them down on paper increases your likelihood of success dramatically. So what's next, I've written my goals down. Now it's your turn, go ahead write them down!
So now that we have visualized our goals, we have written them down, now its time for an ACTION PLAN.
Let's envision how and what we will need to do in order to achieve our goals. As new actions come to mind, add them to your written list. Sort of like creating a road map to the finish line. Once you have an Action Plan, set a DEADLINE. Give yourself a deadline on when you will reach each goal and be specific. Milestones are a great way to keep you energized and motivated to follow through. It’s also important to celebrate your success along the way, take the time to congratulate yourself. I'm thinking about my rewards right now!! Goals are powerful and quitting shouldn't be an option. Look at goal setting in a different light, they can actually be a lot of fun to work towards! Goals have the ability to propel us to places beyond our wildest dreams but we have to remember that success doesn’t come overnight. Consistently working towards them is the key. Prepare for adversity and be willing to adjust your goals as needed. I say it again, quitting shouldn't be an option - we find a lot of us quitting because it's EASY to do so. Pick a day and commit to changing your routine, set some goals, write them down, create an action plan, set a deadline and make it happen! ~Stephanie Hello out there! Today I wanted to share with you how I find it so crazy the amount of information I have been learning since becoming a Younique Presenter. Having a passion in these products has opened my eyes to so much more then just learning about how to apply cosmetics. It's also about our body and what we do to it to keep it healthy. So today I wanted to focus on our skin, how to keep it fresh, clean, hydrated and beautiful. "Exfoliating, whats that?" Yeah that's what I said.
Here are 8 tips in keeping your skin amazing! Keep your body hydrated: This may sound like a no-brainer, but it bears repeating. You have to have water in your body in order for it to nourish your skin's needs. Be sure to drink at least 64oz of water everyday to make sure all your body's organs have the moisture they need to operate properly. Not only will your hydrated skin thank you, your body will thank you. *You can Google search to find a hydrating calculator for the amount of water you require per your body weight. Cleanse: Cleansing or scrubbing your skin too much can actually damage your skin. Over-cleansing can strip your skin's natural oils and throw off its natural balance of moisture. Instead of using harsh cleansers, use a natural based product such as Younique's Awake Facial Cleanser. Awake contains a range of beneficial ingredients that awaken and cleanse the skin. Its thick texture transforms into an effective lather to dissolve oil and makeup, rinsing away pore-clogging surface debris, impurities, and excess oil. It refines the skin texture, brightens skin clarity, and minimizes the look of pores over time. Moisturize daily: When you care for your skin, it's not just your face that needs the help in the hydration department. Use Younique's Brilliant Daily Moisturizing Gel all over the body. Brilliant Moisturizing Gel is a rich and restorative moisturizer that is formulated to leave the skin hydrated, energized, and healthy as it nourishes the skin with powerful ingredients. Brilliant leaves your skin feeling revitalized, toned, and radiant. DO Exfoliate, Just Not to Much: A regular once-a-week scrub is necessary to remove dead skin cells from your face and body, in order to let your moisturizers do their job. Add brown sugar to your Awake Cleanser for your exfoliating regiment. Eat Well: A healthy, balanced diet is the best way to keep you and your skin healthy. Take a Sauna: Heat bathing is one of the oldest beauty and/or health strategies in terms of cleansing one's skin. When the body begins to produce sweat via deep sweating, the skin is then cleansed and dead skin cells are replaced - keeping your skin in good working condition. Sweating rinses bacteria out of the epidermal layer and sweat ducts. Cleansing of the pores has been shown to improve the capillary circulation, while giving the skin a softer-looking quality. Kick the bad Habits: You may have a habit or two that is actually hurting your skin and reducing its hydration levels. Smoking, drinking alcohol excessively, and indulging in too much caffeine will suck out all that moisture from your skin. Over time, you'll see the wrinkly, saggy effects these habits cause. Cut these factors out of your life completely, or limit these habits to a minimum to reduce the effects. Limit Exposure: Exposing your skin to harmful environmental factors can harm your skin's moisture levels including extreme sunlight, and bitter cold. As the seasons change, be sure to protect your skin from these and you won't risk losing skin's hydrators to the environment! Do you have more tips on keeping your skin healthy and beautiful? Be sure to share them with us. ~Stephanie YES you can! To ease your mind I'd like to share a bit of my experience in DS.
My first DS experience I went a little stir crazy purchasing marketing materials and supplies, thinking it would make me successful pretty much overnight. I knew NOTHING about DS and I didn’t really have any guidance to help direct me to the information I needed to start off on the right track. Right out of the gate I purchased 1k business cards, tissue paper, ribbons, packaging materials etc, so I could deliver the best looking package to my clients. When truly all my clients really wanted was just my smile, my honesty and the best service I could provide them and of course that pretty item inside all that fufu packaging. After about 3 yrs I found my passion wasn’t 100% within the product and I wasn’t recouping my over expenditures so I left with a better sense of what people wanted and how I could deliver that to them. My 2nd company, again I went a little over board but this time I dug into learning more about social media etc so I could get my name out to more people. I’m a little more frugal with the marketing portion of it. I am now useing Social Media as my main source of advertising. With this company I have an excellent commission rate and I am able to pay myself back from the loss I found myself in with the first company. I have found my passion in my 3rd. Now that I have done my research and have so much more knowledge of how direct sales work, how social media works, what my clients want and need, etc I am comfortable in saying you really need nothing more than your start-up kit to start growing a successful business. With my 3rd try, I have spent next to nothing compared to the first two DS business in marketing materials. It’s a great feeling of achievement, because I've learned so much and its all beginning to pay off. With all this being said, You DO NOT need to spend a ton of money in marketing materials, display items, packaging materials, web advertising, etc. Remember the saying work smarter not harder? I’m working smarter these days you can too. All you need is an outgoing personality, a sincere heart, a passion for your products and the motivation to get you the success you desire. Create your business with that passion! Let your business grow, set aside a % each week/month to save on the marketing materials you feel you need to further your business reach/goals. Social media is free, use it (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.). Picking up the phone and calling friend to share your business is free make the call. Printing a flyer and pinning it up at your local market costs just pennies. Lunch with the ladies?, that’s an opportunity to share! Opportunity is all around us, you just need to teach yourself to know when the time is right. Choose to ignore it, and someone else will take it. Hopefully this helps a bit with the uncertainty of purchasing marketing supplies and advertising materials for your DS business. "Your success tool is knowledge". In my opinion "DS is an opportunity in personal growth and success". If you grow/run your business with knowledge, you won’t let yourself get carried away with spending $100.00 in supplies, marketing materials etc to make a few bucks. ~Stephanie Today a shout out for the love of our animals. As hard as it is to believe, animal experiments for cosmetics continue even though non-animal tests are widely available. In being realistic about this I feel that a majority of us honestly don't think about what our products are made of or how they were tested. I'm guilty of this, but since finding Younique and learning more and more about the products I am selling it truly makes me feel good to be wearing and sharing a product that DOES NOT test on Animals. Knowledge is power, and little changes do make a difference. Whether you want to buy all vegan products, or just start incorporating more cruelty free makeup products into your life, it’s always great to go animal friendly. ~Stephanie |
